She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Most of all, Maureen enjoyed the love and company of her family. Maureen enjoyed all things Irish, bus trips with her girlfriend “crew”, and summer vacations at the Jersey Shore. She held management positions in medical administration at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester PA and was a billing specialist for General Surgery Associates and ARC. Maureen began her work career which spanned 60 years retiring in 2009 at the age of 78. Maureen and John were married in 1953 and began their life together raising John and Judy. Maureen was raised in Chester, PA and graduated from Notre Dame High School for Girls, Moylan, PA in 1949. She was the beloved wife of John Wood SR, born in 1931 to the late John and Mary Maillie. Maureen Clare Wood (nee Maillie), 91, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday June 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
